In the absence of injured star Kristaps Porzingis, the Boston Celtics relied on the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to power them to a 106-98 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals. The win gives the Celtics a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.

Tatum led the Celtics with 28 points, while Brown chipped in with 28 of his own. The pair shot a combined 21-of-44 from the field and 9-of-19 from three-point range. Al Horford also contributed with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Mavericks, who were led by Luka Dončić's 31 points and 9 rebounds, made a spirited comeback attempt in the fourth quarter. However, they were unable to overcome the Celtics' strong defense and steady play.

With the win, the Celtics are now just one win away from capturing their 18th NBA championship. Game 4 of the series will be played on Tuesday night in Dallas.
